Obituary for Sandoval

Leonie (Eleonila Lucinda) Sandoval, age 50, passed away September 14, 1999. She was preceded in death by her mother, Eufemia Aragon; her sister, Mary Ruth Garcia; her maternal and paternal grandparents. She is survived by her father, Merenciano Sandoval of San Ysidro Norte, NM; Alden Lopez of Ojo Sarco, NM; one son, Clarence Lopez and wife, Michelle of Rio Rancho; one daughter, Erika Lopez of Albuquerque; two granddaughters, Gabriela Lopez of Albuquerque and Deziree Lopez; two sisters, Nora Tafoya and husband, Harold of Bernalillo and Sister Alicia Sandoval of Henderson, NV; one Godfather, Leopoldo Gomez of Albuquerque; several nieces and nephews. Leonie attended Battle Mountain High School. She enjoyed cooking and crocheting. A Rosary will be recited today, 7:00 p.m., at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated tomorrow morning, 9:00 a.m., at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church with interment to follow at the Monte Calvario Cemetery in Las Vegas, NM. Pallbearers will be Andrew Tafoya, Bernice Tafoya, Roberto Hernandez, Javier Hernandez, Richard Garcia, and Nadine Mondragon. Services intrusted to Alameda Mortuary, 9420 4th St. NW, Gary F. Santillanes, C.F.S.P.
