Obituary for Dove

James Edward Dove, 56, New Mexico native and resident of Las Vegas since 1994, passed away Wednesday morning, September 9, at Las Vegas Regional Medical Center. James was born November 16, 1942. He was preceded in death by his mother, Eva Mae Dove. He was a Catholic. James' interests included a love for science and research. He had an enthusiasm for writing and music. He enjoyed games and was an avid sports fan. James enjoyed people. We would like to thank all the caring and thoughtful residents and staff who helped James, including Mel Pino at Las Vegas Ponderosa Four, and especially Naomi Montoya, Administrator at Southwest Senior Care in Las Vegas, for their kindness and concern. James is survived by his surrogate nephews, Matthew and Thomas Cantwell of Deltona, FL as well as many friends. He will be missed and will be remembered for his wonderful sense of humor and his love for all God's creatures. A Memorial service will be held at the Chapel at Las Vegas Medical Center on Tuesday, September 14. Interment will be at Memorial Gardens, Albuquerque. Rogers Mortuary, Las Vegas, in charge of arrangements.
