Obituary for Martinez

Francisco (Frank) Martinez, a resident of Albuquerque, died peacefully at home, on Wednesday, September 8, 1999. He was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, where he served as an usher. He retired from the VA Hospital in 1990 after 30 years of service. He was in the Army stationed in Ft. Bragg, NC and was a paratrooper with the 82nd Airborne Division, Special Forces and a Green Beret. He was preceded in death by his father, Luis Martinez and brother, Fidel C. Martinez. He is survived by his mother, Aniceta Martinez; five brothers; Rudolfo Martinez, Rufino C. Martinez and wife, Maria, Lewis Martinez and wife, Patsy, Christopher Martinez and wife, Carol and Julius Martinez; five sisters, Mary Louis, Melinda, Mary Jane, Linda and Grace Martinez; and also survived by a very special and dear family, Lena, Ward, Jolene, Jerry, Jeremy and Monique Peralta; many nieces and nephews; aunts and uncles; cousins and friends. Frank was a wonderful son and brother that touched all of our lives with his happy and positive aspect of life. He was a very caring person to all. We will love him forever and miss him. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated this morning at 10:30 a.m. at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church with Interment to follow at the Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Jerry Peralta, Jeremy Peralta, Rufino Martinez, Lewis Martinez, Chris Martinez and Brian Martinez. Services entrusted to Alameda Mortuary, 9420 4th St. N.W. Gary F.
