Felimon"Phil" Manuel Lavadie, 84, of Taos, passed away on October 4, 1999. He was a former County Assesor, State Representative, Bureau of Land Management, and loved politics. He did ranching most of his life. He was preceded in death by his wife, Lillian Lavadie. He is survived by his children, Toby Lavadie (Gloria), Richard Lavadie and Rosina Lavadie. He is also survived by three grandchildren; brother, Chris Lavadie; and sister, Juanita Montoya. A Rosary was held on Tuesday, October 6, 1999 at Our Lady of Guadalupe in Taos. Funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, October 6, 1999, 10:00 a.m., at Our Lady of Guadalupe in Taos, with burial to follow at the Santa Fe National Cemetery at 2:30 p.m. Pallbearers will be Madrilio Duran, Hewey Burt, Augustin J. Harmon, Felix Vargas, James Duran, and Art Martinez. Honorary pallbearers will be Charles Martinez, Gilbert Lavadie, Bobby Lavadie, Ronnie Martinez, Max Martinez, and Dennis Montoya.
