Obituary for Howard

Thelma Howard, age 72, a resident of New Mexico for 60 years, passed away on Wednesday, September 29, 1999. She was preceded in death by her father, Jake Haverstick. She is survived by her 97 year old mother, Fay Haverstick; her children, Jimmy Tunnell and wife, Debbie, Bobby Tunnell and wife, Lanell, Shirley Miller, Jerry Clifford, Faneta Houston and husband, Sam, Johnny Clifford and wife, Barbara, Skeeter Applegate and husband, Burl; 23 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; sister, Esther Nerhood and husband, Rick; and brother, Virgil Haverstick and wife, Sylvia; numerous nieces, nephews, and friends. She was a member of Kingdom Hall of Jehovah Witnesses of Regina, NM. She was a rancher and did volunteer work for the Fire Department, and a member of Cowbelles. She lived her life for her children, grandchildren, enjoying BBQ, boating, and picnicking. She owned the original Coon Holler, where Glenn Campbell got his start. A Memorial service will be held at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah Witnesses of Regina, NM, on Saturday, October 2, 1999 at 2:00 p.m., with Mr. Jeff Korez officiating. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in memory of Thelma Howard, to the American Cancer Society, 5810 Lomas Blvd. NE, Albuquerque, NM 87110.
