Florence B. Collins, age 96, and a resident of Albuquerque for 43 years, died Sunday in a local nursing home. Mrs. Collins is survived by one daughter, Beverly J. Henting of Minnesota; three sons, Daniel J. Collins of Albuquerque, Harry E. Collins and his wife, Marie L. of Michigan, and Robert H. Collins and his wife, Jan of Minnesota; 18 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harry E. Collins and one son, Donald J. Collins. Mrs. Collins was a member of the Lutheran Church and the Macabees. Viewing and visitation will be held Wednesday, September 29, 1999, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., at Strong-Thorne Mortuary, 1100 Coal Ave. SE. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday in the Fern Chapel of Strong-Thorne Mortuary with Pastor Larry Pierson officiating. Interment will follow in Fairview Memorial Cemetery with Daniel J. Collins, Harry E. Collins, Johnny Giere, Jimmy Collins and Don Demour serving as casket bearers.
