Obituary for Hathaway

Samuel H. Hathaway, 75, a resident of Albuquerque since November 1999 and a former resident of Norwalk, CA, died Wednesday, August 11, 1999. He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Mary Jane Hathaway; sons, Daniel H. Hathaway and wife, Linda, and Samuel S. Hathaway; brothers, Lynn F. Hathaway and wife, Pat and Bobby B. Hathaway and wife, Vina. He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles Hayden Hathaway and Ruth S. Hathaway Trump; and brother, James Walter Hathaway. Mr. Hathaway was a member of Hoffmantown Church. In California, he served on the Norwalk School Board for six years; and also has memberships in the North American Management Club and the Registered Professional Engineers. Mr. Hathaway was an active duty Naval Officer for six years and in the Naval Reserve for 20 years. He was an Eagle Scout and was associated with the Boy Scouts for 45 years. In addition, Mr. Hathaway was on the National Order of the Arrow Committee for 15 years. Services will be held Sunday, 4:00 p.m., at French Mortuary, Wyoming Blvd. Chapel, 7121 Wyoming Blvd. NE, with Pastor Ken Moore officiating. Interment will take place Monday, 11:00 a.m., at Santa Fe National Cemetery, Santa Fe, NM. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Greater Southwest Council-Boy Scouts of America, 5841 Office Blvd. NE, 87109. French Mortuary, 7121 Wyoming Blvd. NE.
