Cynthia Ann Divett, 42, a ten year resident of Tijeras, NM passed away Friday, August 6, 1999. She was born December 30, 1956 in Topeka, KS to Richard and Ann (Gunther) Burgard. On September 26, 1989 she married Thomas B. Divett in Estancia, NM. Mrs. Divett was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints Church in Edgewood, NM. She was very active in the church and Sunday school and was a member of the Relief Society at the Church. She will be remembered as a loving daughter, wife, mother and friend. Cynthia is survived by her parents, Richard and Ann Burgard; her husband, Thomas B. Divett; two daughters, Michelle and Nicole Stegman; one step-daughter, Sarah Divett; three step-sons, Thomas Jr., Jared and Samuel Divett; one brother, Greg Burgard; and two sisters, Linda Tovrea and Debbie Wessel. She will lie in state Tuesday, August 10, 1999 at 12:00 noon at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Edgewood, NM. A Funeral Service will be held Tuesday, August 10, 1999 at 2:00 p.m. with Dale S. Preece officiating, also at the church. Burial will follow at the Mountain Valley Cemetery in Edgewood, NM. Pallbearers will be Jared Divett, T.J. Divett, David Wessel, Mark Stegman, Greg Burgard, Bill Divett and Don Divett. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to the Harris-Hanlon Mortuary in Moriarty, NM.
