Obituary for Craig

Florence E. Craig was born on 2/21/19. She was a native of No. Dak. She lived there until the age of 21 when she graduated from the Mercy Hospital School of Nursing as a registered nurse. She volunteered to enter World War II in the Army Air Force. She became a Lt. in 1942 and served as a surgical nurse. At the end of the war she lived in California and resided there until moving to New Mexico in 1989 with her husband, Jack. She is survived by a daughter, Barbara of Stillwater, MN; and two grandsons, Shawn of Minneapolis, MN and Chad who is currently in the Marine Corps. She is also survived by her sister, Lucille from Hastings, MN; and two brothers, Patrick Martin and Jack Martin, both from North Dakota. She also has 18 nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jack; brother, Mike; and two sisters, Laverne and Cecilia. Rosary services will be held at Vista Verde Mortuary on Thursday evening at 7:30 p.m. followed by a Mass on Friday, 10:30 a.m., at St. Thomas Aquinas Church in Rio Rancho. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to the American Cancer Society.
