John B. Dodd passed away early Sunday morning, August 1, 1999. He was born in Hartford, Arkansas, October 17, 1906. He had been a resident of Albuquerque since 1930. He was a World War II veteran. Mr. Dodd is survived by his wife of 42 years, Lupe Dodd; eight children, three sons, Alan Dodd and wife, Pat, John Dodd Jr. and wife, Patty and Jerry Dodd; five daughters, Terry Duran and husband, Leo, Dolores Sloan and husband, Jess, Evelyn Truman and husband, Walker, Carol Worthing and husband, Bob, Ginger Beattie and husband, Red; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Services will be held on Thursday, August 5, 1999, 7:00 p.m., at Hoffmantown Baptist Church, 8888 Harper NE (entrance north side of church), Pastor Ken Moore officiating. Interment will be held on Friday, August 6, 1999, 12:00 p.m., at the Santa Fe National Cemetery in Santa Fe, NM. Pallbearers will be John Dodd Jr., Jerry Dodd, Alan Dodd, Leo Duran, Keith Sena and John Matthew Vigil. Burial arrangements are being provided by Metropolitan Direct Burial, 729 San Mateo Blvd. NE, 256-9400.
