Obituary for Beck

Clarence Dempsey Beck, 70, a resident of New Mexico since 1945, died Monday, August 2, 1999. He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Florence Beck of Sandia Park, NM; sister, Cherie Henson of Albuquerque; nephews, Eric Deshler of Oakdale, CA and Adam Deshler of Albuquerque; and grandchildren, Tara Sweeney, Cherie Sweeney, and Erin Sweeney, all of Woodbridge, VA. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Heidi Beck in 1987. Mr. Beck taught at N.M.M.I. and T.V.I. in New Mexico, and Western State College in Gunnison, CO. He was a Civil War buff and spoke German fluently. Mr. Beck was a member of Prince of Peace Lutheran Church. He was a member of the New Mexichords for many years. Services will be held Friday, 11:00 a.m., at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, 12121 N. Hwy. 14, Cedar Crest, NM, with Pastor Reuben Steinbronn officiating. Interment will take place at 1:30 p.m. at Santa Fe National Cemetery. Should friends desire, memorial contributions may be made to Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, 12121 N.
