Obituary for Jackson

Doris Jean (Reimholz) Jackson, 73, passed away on July 3, 1999, 10:40 a.m. at Deaconess Hospital in Billings, Montana, as a result of respiratory failure.Doris was a mother of three, a good wife, a grandmother of two, and a very special friend to many.Doris enjoyed sewing, cooking ,reading, playing cards and bingo, and she loved the outdoors; camping, fishing and traveling. In her younger days, she was an avid square dancer.Doris was born on January 12, 1926, in Halfday, Illinois, to Howard and Margaret Griffeth. In June of 1951, she married John. L. Reimholz and together they had three children, Cheryl, Keith and Scott. In 1966, her beloved husband passed away. Doris took on the task of raising the three kids and drove a school bus for a kindergarten in Albuquerque, New Mexico. In May of 1968, Doris married William H. Jackson and they shared 31 wonderful years together. Their most precious and memorable times were spent at their cabin in Snowy Range, Wyoming during the summer months. They fished, picked wild raspberries and strawberries, which were used for jams, syrups and fresh fruit and they very much enjoyed feeding and watching the various types of wildlife in the area.In June, 1993, Bill and Doris moved from Albuquerque to Sheridan, Wyoming. Their home was located in a small little valley in the country with a fabulous view of the Big Horn Mountains and the wildlife was numerous.Doris was a loving Mom, wife, and friend. She will be missed so very, very much. She will always be in our hearts, in our minds, and she will be a part of us forever. Doris is in a better place now where there is no pain or suffering and she is with other family members who preceded her in death. These include: parents, Howard and Margaret Griffeth, a brother, Doug Griffeth, a husband, John L. Reimholz, and a son, Keith J. Reimholz.Survivors include: husband, William H. Jackson; sister-in-law, Peggy Moore; daughter, Cheryl A. Reimholz; son Scott J. Reimholz and his wife Holly and their two girls, Chelsea and Bailey Rose; and numerous nieces and nephews.Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 8, 1999, at Kane Funeral Home, with Father Ron Stolcis officiating. Cremation will follows.
