Lucy Romero left us to be with the Lord on Wednesday, June 30, 1999. She was preceded in death by her father, Delfido Gonzalez; her mother, Perfecta; and her beloved son, Christopher Romero. She is survived by her husband, Rubel Romero Sr.; five sons, Rubel Romero Jr. and wife, Martha, Steve Romero and wife, Elaine, Robert Romero and wife, Anne, Leo Romero and wife, Tina, Andrew Romero and wife, Bonnie; five daughters, Kathy Martinez and husband, Juan, Tina Romero-Vogt, Elizabeth Pribble and husband, Gary, Camilla Kloeppel and husband, Mike, Michelle Rodriguez and husband, Robert; 23 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; three brothers, Leo Gonzalez and wife, Bessie, Delfinio Gonzalez and wife, Gina, Paul Gonzalez and wife, Priscilla; three sisters, Antonia Archibeque and husband, Emiterio, Isabel Branson and husband, Fred, Dolores Gutierrez and husband, Orlando; and many nephews and nieces. Lucy will be greatly missed by her loving family. A Rosary will be recited on Friday, July 2, 1999, 7:00 p.m., at the Chapel of Alameda. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday, 10:00 a.m., at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church in Bernalillo, NM. Interment will follow at Algodones Cemetery. Honorary bearers will be her grandsons, Mark Romero, Jonathon Romero, Armando Martinez, Joaquin Martinez, Michael Romero, Anthony Romero, Joseph Martinez, Joseph Kloeppel, Jacob Kloepper and Christopher Rodriguez.
