Obituary for Duran

Aaron LeRoy Duran, 62, son of Aaron E. and Dolores M. Duran, left us to be with our Lord on Thursday, June 24, 1999 in Denver, Colorado after a long illness. He was born at Cuba, NM in 1937. LeRoy was a graduate of Albuquerque High School and attended the University of New Mexico, where he was a member of the ROTC and later served in the US Army. For several years, he was Vice President of ICX and then went into business of his own as part owner of L&M Trucking Co. in Denver. During his life, he was an avid fisherman and hunter, as well as many outdoor activities, which he shared with his father, Aaron. Survivors include his father, Aaron, his mother, Dolores; his brother, James Randolph and wife, Jere Duran; ex-wife, Mary Lou; Marlys Duran, the mother of his children; two sons, Dean and his wife, Melody, Darin and fiance, Leslie; daughter, Denise and husband, Gary; his grandchildren, Corey, Casey and Cody Barby, Laurie and Mindy Moore; his uncles, Leo Montoya and beloved friend, Marian, Archie and wife, Charlene; and a special aunt, Olivia Smith; and many cousin, nephews and nieces. Services will be held Thursday in Denver.
