Obituary for Cathey

Kenneth A. Cathey, 69, a resident of Albuquerque since 1988, died Saturday, June 26, 1999. He is survived by his daughter, Karen Aurea Cathy and husband, Henry Cardiel; grandson, Juan Thomas Cardiel; granddaughter, Aurea Ariel Cardiel, all of Albuquerque; sister, Dolores Cathey Mosimann of Pearland, TX; nieces, Janet Mosimann, Debbie Mosimann, Donna Mosimann, all of Texas and Heather MacMillan of California; and other nieces and nephews. Mr. Cathey was preceded in death by his wife, Emelynda Cariaga Cathey. He graduated from St. Thomas High School in Houston. Mr. Cathey spent his career as a photo journalist and was a member of the Society for Professional Journalism. He was a 4th Degree Past Faithful Navigator and Past Charter Grand Knight with the Knights of Columbus, Councils #0641, #4227 and Assembly #0682. Mr. Cathey was a member of the Order of the Alhambra. He was also a member of the San Ignacio Catholic Church attending the Latin Mass. Services are pending. Pallbearers will be members of the Knights of Columbus. Friends may visit at the rosary.
