Rev. Dessie M. McDonnell, 92, a resident of Albuquerque, died Wednesday, May 26, 1999. She is survived by her niece, Catherine Neve of Woodland Hills, CA; sister-in-law, Margaret M. Davis and Ada Long and husband, William, all of El Paso, TX; and step-sons, C.P.O. Henry Don McDonnell and family of Virginia Beach, VA and Robert Clayton McDonnell and family of Truckee, CA. Mrs. McDonnell was preceded in death by her sister, Stella Petersen. She was a member of Christ Unity Church, where she was Minister Emeritus. Mrs. McDonnell was a life member of American Legion Post #99, the Military Widows, Women's Army Corps Chapter #60, and the Retired officer's Association. She was also a member of the Daughters of the Nile, Yucca Temple #74 and Social Order of the Beauceant, Albuquerque Assembly #76. Memorial services will be held Saturday, 2:00 p.m., at Christ Unity Church, 9800 Candelaria NE, with Gregory Barrette officiating. French Mortuary, 1111 University Blvd. NE.
