Obituary for Harmon

Mr. James T. Harmon, age 74, died Saturday. He was born in Athens, Tennessee and relocated to Albuquerque, New Mexico in 1945. He was preceded in death by his wife, Rita C. Harmon, brother, Robert Part Harmon and Willard Thompson, sister, Mildred Harmon. He was a member of the St. Edwin Church. He started the Adobe Acres Association, he was a WWII Veteran deep sea diver and was an active member in his community. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He is survived by his son, James E. Harmon and wife, Rosie D.; daughters, Kathy Apodaca and husband, Jim, Gloria Schatzinger and husband, Tom and Anita Ortiz and husband, Zachary; sister, Willie Mae Eldreth and husband, Jay; brother, Maynart Ray Harmon (Honey); and a sister-in-law, Joyce Harmon; grandchildren, Alyssa Holmes, Christopher Apodaca, Audra Apodaca, Thomas Schatzinger, Justin Schatzinger, Adam Schatzinger, Jimmy Harmon, Danny Harmon, Lindsay Ortiz and Zachary Ortiz. Funeral Services for Mr. Harmon will be held on Tuesday, at the St. Edwin Church where the Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. with Fr. Anthony Bowlman, Rev. Terrell Eldreth and F. Jose Hernandez officiating. Burial will follow at the Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Christopher Apodaca, Thomas Schatzinger, Justin Schatzinger, Adam Schatzinger, Jimmy Harmon and Danny Harmon. Honorary Pallbearers will be Zachary Ortiz, Rick Holmes, Ernest Navarette, Albert Placencio, Amadeo Martinez, Joe Herrera, Libby Jaramillo, Artie Davidson, John Lovato, Bobby Harmon and Jay Eldreth. Visitations will be held on Monday from 6:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. with a Eulogy Service to follow at 7:00 p.m. at the Salazar & Sons Mortuary, 400 Third St. SW.
