Obituary for Huenniger

Clarence J. Huenniger, 88, a resident of the Albuquerque area since 1974, and more recently of Manzano Del Sol Good Samaritan Village, passed away on Wednesday, April 21, 1999. Clarence was born December 4, 1910 near Buffalo, New York. He studied at Millard Fillmore College and the American Institute of Banking. He was employed by the Marine Trust Co. of Western New York for over 17 years before receiving training and becoming an Executive of the Boy Scouts of America and serving councils in Buffalo, Olean and Rochester, New York. Clarence retired in 1973. Clarence was an involved member of All Saints Lutheran Church, he contributed over 5000 hours as a volunteer at Lovelace hospital. Clarence is survived by his wife of nearly 64 years, Violet B. Huenniger; son, John and his wife, Virginia of Edgewood, KY, son, Gary and his wife, Sandra of Cheektowaga, NY; grandchildren, Jeffrey and his wife, Sheri and great-grandchildren, Alyssa and Andrew of Loganville, GA, Valerie of Albuquerque, James of Cincinnati, OH, Daryl of Cheektowaga, NY, Beth Nugent and her husband, David and great-grandchildren, Miles and Madeline of St. Paul, NC; a brother, Edward C. and his wife, Blanche of West Palm Beach, FL; along with two nieces and a nephew and many supportive friends in the community, especially Tom Ayer and John Silman. A memorial service will be held at 4:30 p.m. on Sunday, May 2, 1999 at All Saints Lutheran Church, 4800 All Saints Rd. (Coors at Paseo Del Norte) with Pastor Tim Theis officiating. Memorials may be made to the All Saints Lutheran Church, 4800 All Saints Rd., Albuquerque, NM 87120. Interment will be at Vista Verde Memorial Park, Rio Rancho, at the convenience of the family.
