Obituary for Wells

Frank Wells Jr., age 76, passed away January 12, 1999. He retired from the U.S. Army after serving 28 years. He was a member of the American Legion Post 99. He is survived by his wife, Augusta; two daughters, Joanne and Claudio Chirra and Lydia Wells; brother, Glen Wells of Albuquerque; sister, Glenna Faye Sherrill of Arkansas. He made his home the past 27 years with Imogene Poyser and her four children, Retha, Ken, Sue, Fred. He is also survived by her five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Visitation will be Friday, January 15, 1999 from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at Strong-Thorne Mortuary, 1100 Coal Ave SE. Funeral Services are scheduled for 11:00 a.m. Saturday, January 16, 1999 in the Palm Chapel of Strong-Thorne Mortuary with C.C."Smoky" Gonzales State Chaplain Post 99 officiating. Al Buttke, Allen Buttke, Ken Poyser, Allan Leach and Thurmond Leach will serve as pallbearers. Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Park.
