Obituary for Dubuque

Published in the Albuquerque Journal on Wednesday January 13, 1999

On January 9, 1999, death released Roger B. Dubuque from the debilitating effects of his years-long struggle with rheumatoid arthritis, osteoporosis, and heart disease. He would have celebrated his 78th birthday on January 24, 1999. Roger was the devoted son of Alfred and Adele (Briere) Dubuque (both deceased), and the younger brother of Claire Graves in Massachusetts and Jeanette Ducharme (deceased). He is survived, in Albuquerque, by Fran, his cherished wife since 1947. Roger is survived also by his eight children, Nancy, Teresa, Peter, Marianne, David, Joyce, Paul and Mark. The richness of his family, of which he was so proud, includes his dear sons-in-law, daughters-in-law, 19 grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Roger was a man of deep conviction, strong faith, and personal integrity. His generous and caring spirit will be greatly missed. Friends may visit Sandia Funeral Care, 7601 Wyoming NE, from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. this evening. A Rosary and time of remembrance will begin at 7:00 p.m. A Mass will be celebrated at 11:30 a.m. Thursday, January 14, 1999 at Church of the Risen Savior, 7701 Wyoming NE.
