Obituary for Baird

Pearl Harvey Baird, 85, passed away peacefully on Monday, January 11, 1999. She was born May 29, 1913 at Lake Valley, Arkansas, and moved to New Mexico as a young child, living both in Gallup and Albuquerque. In 1930, she married Arthur C."Buddy" Baird who preceded her in death in 1984. Together they owned and operated the 4th and Silver Car Park for many years. Mrs. Baird was involved in many church and community activities. Survivors include her daughter, Pat Meyer and husband, Robert of Los Gatos, CA; grandchildren, Robert Meyer and Kathleen Shrader and husband, Nick of San Jose, CA, David Meyer and wife, Laura of Santa Rose, CA and Gary Meyer of Santa Clara, CA; six great-grandchildren; her niece, Susan Blakley and husband, Garth of Edgewood, NM; nephew, Dick Partington and wife, Carol of Cortez, CO; and many other relatives and dear friends. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated on Friday, January 15, 1999, 10:30 a.m., at the Holy Ghost Catholic Church, 833 Arizona SE, with Father Joe as Celebrant. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial gifts to a charity of choice. Sunrise Society of New Mexico is serving the family of Mrs. Baird, (891-8200).
