Obituary for Eich

Norbert J. Eich, 90, of Las Cruces and formerly of Albuquerque/Placitas entered eternal life Sunday, January 31, 1999 at Casa De Oro Center. He was born June 6, 1908 in Jersey City, New Jersey to Anton and Agnes Czischowski Eich. Mr. Eich retired as an electrical engineer from Sandia Corporation. He was a member of Scottish Rite Bodies in Santa Fe, National Sojourners in Albuquerque, Sandoval Lodge #76 AF & M in Rio Rancho, Mesa Lodge #68 AF & M in Albuquerque, Tall Cedars of Lebanon, Enchantment Council #21 - Knight Masons in Albuquerque, Estancia Lodge #33 AF & M and the Telephone Pioneers of America. Survivors include one son, Norbert P. Eich of Las Cruces; one daughter, Betty Middleton of West Chester, PA; one brother, Hugo Eich of Inverness, FL; other survivors include six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Elaine Dorothy Eich on June 23, 1966. At Mr. Eich's request cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held Monday, February 8, 1999 at 2:00 p.m. in Masonic Lodge #76 in Rio Rancho. Inurnment of cremains will take place Tuesday, February 9, 1999 at 2:00 p.m. in Santa Fe National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in the Alzheimer's Association New Mexico Chapter, 975 S. Mesquite Street, Las Cruces, NM 88001. Entrusted to the care of Baca's Funeral Chapels and Baca's Mimbres Crematory.
