Elizabeth Szoke, born to Simon Szoke and Martha Vargas on June 27, 1920 in Detroit, Michigan. Long a resident of Albuquerque, New Mexico, she is survived by her daughter, Pamela Yates; her granddaughter, Stacey Yates and grandson, Zachary Yates. Her family wishes to express their gratitude for the kindness and support shown by Betty's circle of friends. Betty was an administrator in charge of counseling and training counselors for the Detroit, Michigan Public Schools. Previously she was counselor at Coffey Middle School. She volunteered at the Indian Pueblo Cultural Center for the last 15 years. In lieu of flowers a guest donation may be made in her name c/o Pat Reck, IPCC, 2401 12th St NW, Albuq, N.M. 87104. A Memorial Service will be held at IPCC at the same address in the theater on Saturday, June 12, 1999 at 1:00 p.m. A photograph of Betty will be available to order at the service.
