Obituary for Apodaca

Fred R. Apodaca, 71, passed away at home June 6, 1999. He is survived by his wife, Ruth; daughter, Nancy Loucks and husband, Casey of Omaha, NE; sister, Della Rivera and husband, Manuel of Rio Rancho; brother, Bill Montoya and wife, Eva of Omaha, NE; daughter-in-law, Alicia Apodaca of San Diego, CA; sister-in-law, Jean Fornoff of Albuquerque; and grandchildren, Kurtis, Leyna and Eric of Omaha, NE and Ashlee and Myles of San Diego, CA. Fred was preceded in death by his beloved son, Mark Apodaca of San Diego, CA; one brother; and one sister. Fred was a lifetime member of the Optimist International Service Organization and was Distinguished Governor of the Nebraska District, followed by one year as International Vice President of the OISO. Visitation for Fred will be Friday, June 11, 1999, from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., at Hillcrest Funeral Home. The family will greet visitors from 6:30 p.m. Rosary will be recited Friday, June 11, 1999, 7:30 p.m., at Hillcrest Funeral Home. Memorial Mass will be celebrated Saturday, June 12, 1999, 10:00 a.m., at Prince of Peace Catholic Church. All Albuquerque Optimist Club members in attendance will serve as honorary pallbearers.
