Obituary for Herrera

Diane Lynn Herrera, 43, a longtime resident of Albuquerque and a native of Cochiti Pueblo, went"Home to be with Jesus Christ, Our Lord and Savior", on Friday, May 28, 1999. She is survived by her devoted companion and common-law husband, Arnold Torres and their son, Christopher of Albuquerque; sisters, Lorraine Herrera Montoya of Albuquerque and Evelyn Herrea of Cochiti Pueblo; brother, Jerry Herrera of Arizona; and many relatives in Cochiti Pueblo and Albuquerque. On Saturday, May 29, preparation and visitation were held at the home of her Christian Godparents, Dennis and Mary Anderson of Cochiti Pueblo. Christian church service was held at Cochiti Pueblo at St. Bonaventura Church, and Cochiti Pueblo officials conducted the funeral and burial to the Cochiti Pueblo Cemetery. Memorial and reception followed at the Anderson home. On Thursday, June 3, an early morning memorial service was held by Sandia Hospice at Roosevelt Park. The family expresses their heart-felt gratitude for their loving care and support; to the staff and caregivers of PHS, UNM CRTC, St. Joseph Hospital and Sandia Hospice; to Cochiti Pueblo; to relatives, and to friends. May you all receive God's greatest gift, His Mighty Unfailing Love; His Salvation in His Son, Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior.
