Obituary for Patten

James"Pat" Patten, 90, a lifelong resident of Albuquerque, died Thursday, June 3, 1999. He is survived by his wife, Helen Patten; son, John Patten; granddaughters, Valerie Cook and husband, Gordon, Monica Patten and Melanie Patten; and great-granddaughter, Helen Chavez, all of Albuquerque. Mr. Patten worked for Albuquerque Indian School for over 35 years. He was a certified Doctor of Motors. Mr. Patten was a decendent of Cochise. He was a former member of Gideons International. Mr. Patten was an avid fisherman and he invented the"jet" lure. Services will be held Monday, 1:00 p.m., at St. Paul Lutheran Church, 1100 Indian School NE, with Pastor Melinda Wagner officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park, 924 Menaul Blvd. NE. French Mortuary, 1111 University Blvd. NE.
