Obituary for Parrish

Norman Henry Parrish, 81, died Thursday, June 3, 1999. He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Mary Ann Parrish of the family home; daughter, Sandra Lee Duvall and husband, Del of Parisppany, NJ; and brother-in-law, Charles E. Beiser and wife, Cynthia of Eagle Mills, NY. Norman graduated from Woodbury College with a B.S. in Commercial Art. He served in the Army Signal Corps during World War II, 292nd Joint Assault Signal Co. and made seven assault landings at Guam, Ormoc Bay, Ryukyos, and Le Shima. Norman worked as editorial production chief at"This Week" Magazine for 23 years. He later was production editor at Library Journal; then was production editor for the Software Company Informatic; making English out of"Comptuereze." He retired in 1978 and moved to Albuquerque in 1980. He joined SCORE (Service Corp. of Retired Executives) and completed the Albuquerque Citizen Police Academy Course. He was also a member of Heritage Hills Safety Watch. Memorial services will be held Monday, 3:00 p.m., at French Mortuary, 7121 Wyoming NE, with Chaplain Lemuel Boyles officiating.
