Obituary for Dunn

Edith W. Dunn, 87, a resident of Albuquerque since 1984, died Monday, May 31, 1999. She is survived by her three children, F. Truman Williams and wife, Alice of Albuquerque, Edgar Monroe Williams and wife, Gee Gee of Palo Alto, CA and Sidney Jeanette Williams of Richmond, CA; one grandchild, Karla Jeanette Williams of Albuquerque; four stepchildren, Louise Dunn, Paul Dunn, Gene Dunn and Patricia Dunn Fry; one sister, Essie Newton; and many step-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Rev. Benjamin Truman Williams; and her second husband, William C. Dunn. Mrs. Dunn graduated from Meredith College in Raleigh, NC in 1931, with a B.A. degree in English. She studied medicine for two years at Duke University in North Carolina. Mrs. Dunn received the M.A. degree in Special Education from the University of New Mexico in 1954. She taught in the Albuquerque and Los Alamos Public Schools systems for many years. As a great lover of nature, Mrs. Dunn was warm and caring for all forms of life. This love and warmth spread over her children, her stepchildren and their families.
