Luis Garcia, 16, a lifelong resident of Tijeras died Sunday, May 30, 1999. He is survived by his parents, Rey and Viola Garcia; brother, Rey Garcia, Jr.; sister, Karen Garcia; niece, Marissa Garcia; grandparents, Bella Garcia and Pablo and Irene Garcia, and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. Luis was preceded in death by his grandfather, Ermenio Garcia. He was very active at Manzano High School and a member of the Manzano Soccer Team and the Zia Sting Soccer Team. Mass of Christian Burial will be Wednesday, at Holy Child Catholic Church, 10:00 a.m. with Fr. John Carney, Celebrant. Interment to follow at San Antonio Cemetery in Tijeras. Pallbearers will be Jerry L. Armijo, Jr., Joseph L. Armijo, Kevin Garcia, Albert Gutierrez, Greg Garcia and Jeff Garcia. Honorary Pallbearers will be S.G. Scales, Joe Garcia, Leef Crawford, Gaving Stanley, Nick Johnson, Austin Doughterty and the Zia Sting Soccer Team. French Mortuary, 7121 Wyoming, NE.
