Obituary for Mcdonald

Rita S., passed away May 27, 1999. She was resident of Albuquerque for almost six years, moving here from Miami, Florida. She was preceded in death by her parents, Beatrice and E. Sidney Hyman. She is survived by her loving daughter, Bess Holt and son-in-law Marshall; two sons, Kerry and Donald of Florida. Rita is also survived by her loving sister and brother, Sylvia Goldmann and Victor Hyman; nephews Hank Goldmann, Peter Goldmann and their families; niece Jeanne Schiller and three grandchildren. Rita grew up in Valley Stream, Long Island, New York and moved to Miami, FL as an adult. She worked in the Family Jewelry business all her life. She retired and moved to Albuquerque to be near her daughter. She was a wonderful, loving mother and a true friend and had a generous helping hand for all that needed it. She loved her dogs and cats and gave them a great life. She had a quick, hardy laugh and an ability to make friends with anyone. Rita was President of The Alliance of the Unitarian Church in Miami, FL for one term. She leaves many friends in Miami and Alb. She was much loved and will be forever missed by her daughter. A special thanks to the nurses at Presbyterian Hospital, Downtown SAC Unit especially Marlene Gross and Rita Saavedra who were kind and loving in their care of mom. As mom would say"Later, Thank You, that's enough"! Cremation has taken place and her remains will be placed in Alaska at a later date.
