Joe G. Green, 80, passed away Tuesday, January 19, 1999 at his home in Luis Lopez, New Mexico. He was born June 5, 1918 to Amos and Clarita Gomez Green in Socorro, NM. He is survived by his wife, Rachel Griego Green; daughters, Sarah Green of Luis Lopez, NM, Beatrice Sedillo, Josie Jojola, and Gloria Sedillo, all of Albuquerque and Helen Alderete, Belinda Green and DeeDee Montano, all of Socorro, NM; brother, Isiac Chavez of Socorro and Jimmy Chavez of Las Cruces, NM; sister, Virginia Taylor of Billings, MT; 22 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and other relatives and friends. Visitation will be held Thursday, January 21, from 9:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., at Steadman-Hall Funeral Home. Rosary will be recited Thursday, January 21, 7:00 p.m., at San Miguel Catholic Church in Socorro. Funeral Mass will be celebrated Friday, January 23, 11:00 a.m., at San Miguel, with Father Bill Sanchez as Celebrant. Interment will be in the San Miguel Cemetery. Pallbearers are Anthony Torres, Eli Alderete Jr., Frank Sedillo, Joseph Padilla, Johnny Valenzuela Jr., Chris Jojola and Dean Sedillo. Honorary pallbearers are Carl Jojola, Jason Jojola, Danny Sedillo, Phillip Torres,, Michael Alderete, Patrick Alderete and Ronnie Alderete. Arrangements by Steadman-Hall Funeral Home, Socorro, NM.
