Gilbert C. Gawin, 81, a resident of Albuquerque since 1979, a native of Chicago, IL, died Saturday, January 9, 1999. He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Gladys Gawin of the family home; son, Gilbert J. Gawin of Albuquerque; daughter, Gail E. Harris of Rio Rancho; grandchildren, Jennifer Harris of Dallas, TX and John Harris of Boulder, CO; brother, Arthur Gawin; and sister, Alvina Vana and husband, Charles, all of Crystal Lake, IL. Cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held Saturday, January 23, 1999, 11:00 a.m., at Prince of Peace Catholic Church, 12500 Carmel Ave. NE, with Father Mondragon officiating.
