Obituary for Morgan

John W. Morgan, 77, a resident of Albuquerque, died Saturday, July 24, 1999. He is survived by his mother, Maude Morgan of Ladera Nursing Home in Albuquerque; two sisters, Mary Jane Saunders of Ensacido, CA and Wanda Vaughn of Albuquerque; numerous nieces, nephews and step-children. Mr. Morgan is also survived by Rovera Dewitt-Morgan and was adopted by all of her family:"Perky" Harmon of Reno, NV, Carrollyne Davis and family, Walter Watkins, Patricia Miller, and Kari Watkins, all of Tyler, TX, Robby Dean Carter of Vandale, AR,"Susie" Carey of Albuquerque and family, Andrea Gore and her son, Chance of Dallas, TX, Robert Dale Champion of Dallas, TX, Bill Champion of Albuquerque and JoLynn Champion of Dallas, TX. He was a veteran of WWII, having served in the Navy on the USS Zeilin in the South Pacific and received nine Bronze Stars and one Silver Star. Services will be held Tuesday, 3:00 p.m., Chester T. French Memorial Mausoleum Chapel, 924 Menaul Blvd. NE, with Pastor Rick Donaho officiating. French Mortuary, 1111 University Blvd. NE.
