Obituary for Allred

James N. Allred, 78, a former resident of Albuquerque, died Saturday, July 24, 1999. He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Charlene Allred of the family home; three children, Ronald E. Allred and wife, Susan, James R. Allred and wife, Sue, and Deborah C. Allred-Smock; three grandchildren, Catron and Clayton Allred and Kyle Smock, all of Albuquerque; two brothers, Don Allred of Vega, Texas and Ralph Allred and wife, Katherine of Amarillo, Texas. Mr. Allred was a decorated WWII U.S. Army-Air Corps Veteran. He was a successful Albuquerque businessman for 42 years retiring from Plasco Inc., a specialty building materials company. He was a Charter member of the Four Hills Country Club. In Ruidoso, where Jim and Charlene retired, they were members of the First Presbyterian Church. Mr. Allred was also a member of the Masonic Lodge of Ruidoso and a board member of the Cree Meadows Country Club. He was an avid golfer and enjoyed the outdoors. Graveside services will be held Wednesday, at 2:00 p.m., at Santa Fe National Cemetery, with Pastor Rick Donaho officiating.
