George Merren, born June 22, 1931, died Thursday, July 22, 1999. George was a Korean War Veteran. He was a member of the American Legiom, Post 69. He retired from Sandia National Laboratories after 37 years of service. George is survived by his wife of 41 years, Alice of Albuquerque; three sons; Richard of Bangkok, Thailand, Tom and David, both of Albuquerque; and two granddaughters. Visitations will be held 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. today at the Chapel of Alameda Mortuary. Evening Services will be conducted this evening at 7:00 p.m. in the chapel of the Alameda Mortuary with the American Legion Post 69 officiating. Interment will be Tuesday, July 27, 1999 at the Santa Fe National Cemetery, time to be announced. In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to the American Legion Post 69. Services are entrusted to Alameda Mortuary, 9420-4th St, NW. Gary F. Santillanes C.F.S.P.
