Geneva H. Beene, 87, a resident of Belen since 1950, passed away on Saturday, July 24, 1999. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Los Chavez, Jasmine Chapter, Order of Eastern Star, and a long time member of the Masonic Widows Club. Geneva retired from the Los Lunas Hospital and Training School in 1971. Geneva was preceded in death by her husband, M.C. Beene in 1962. She is survived by her three children, Wayne and his wife, Mary of Winnemucca, Nevada; her daugher, Donna Sue Nicholas and her husband, Robert of Los Chavez; Roy and his wife, Janice of Albuquerque; seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren; her brother, George Hamilton and his wife, Kathryn of Dunlap, TN. Geneva is also survived by her many loving nieces and nephews. Viewing will be held on Monday from 2:00 pm to 5:00 p.m. at Romero Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday at 2:00 p.m. at the First Baptist Church in Los Chavez. Cremation will take place immediately following services. Interment will be held at a later date.
