Obituary for Vance

Arthur"Leon" Vance, 69, a resident of Albuquerque for 37 years, died Thursday, July 15, 1999. He is survived by his wife, DeeOra Vance of the family home; daughters, Lonnie Harris and husband, Stephen, Karen D. Vance, and Patti Plake and husband, Larry, all of Albuquerque; sons, Marlin Kincaid, Thomas Leon Vance, and William John Vance and wife, Cecilia, all of Albuquerque; ten grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and sisters, Nannie Howey of LaJara, CO, and Norma Walstrom and husband, Clarence of Alamosa, CO. Mr. Vance moved from Colorado to Albuquerque in 1962. He was employed by ABF/Navajo Trucking Co. until his retirement in 1986. Services will be Monday, 1:00 p.m., at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints-Manzano Ward, 12701 Indian School Rd. NE, with Bishop Wheelwright conducting. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service in the Relief Society Room. Interment will be at Sunset Memorial Park, 824 Menaul Blvd. NE.
