Obituary for Goar

Ina Mae Goar, age 94, died Tuesday in a local nursing home. She moved to Estancia Valley in 1935, retiring in Gallup before moving to Albuquerque in 1968. She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul; three brothers; two sisters; and a grandson. She is survived by daughter, Ouita Shockey and husband, Jim of Alamogordo, NM; sons, L.J. Goar and wife, Sally of Albuquerque, Paul Goar and wife, Phyllis of Bosque Farms, Jack Goar and wife, Cammie of Kingman, AZ; two sisters, Roberta Alexander of Woodard, OK and Lela Peoples of Huntsville, AL. She will lie in state Wednesday, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., at the funeral home. Services will be held 10:00 a.m., Thursday, in the Chapel of Fitzgerald and Son Funeral Directors, 3113 Carlisle NE, with Mr. John Wegter officiating. Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Park Cemetery with Jamie Shockey, Kenneth Shockey, Zachery Goar, Daniel Goar, Jason Goar and Dustin Chavez serving as casket bearers.
