Verona B. Nunan, 90, a long time resident of Placitas, died Friday, January 1, 1999. Mrs. Nunan was a member of the Cathedral of St. John, where she was active in the Thrift Shop. She was an avid horse woman and a member of the Placitas Riding Club. She was also a member of the Bernalillo County Garden Club. Mrs. Nunan is survived by her sons, Dennis M. Nunan of Haiku, HI, Edward Whitaker of Kokomo, IN and Timothy Nunan of Denver, CO; and five grandchildren. Cremation has taken place and Memorial Services will be held at a later date.
