Mrs. Virginia Apodaca, 77, a resident of Albuquerque, passed away on December 31, 1998. Mrs. Apodaca is the beloved wife of 62 years to Vincent Apodaca. She is also survived by ten daughters, Nancy Jaramillo and husband, Alex, Fela Chavez, Sally Jaramillo, Angie Vasquez, Isabel Torres and husband, Jose, Rosemary Romero, Betty Montoya, Bernadette Coca, Benita Cebada and husband, Gerald, Nattie Lee Vigil and husband, Chris; three sons, Ralph Apodaca and wife, Frances, Vincent Apodaca Jr. and wife, Mary Helen and Frankie Apodaca; one sister, Mary Apodaca and husband, Fred; one brother, Andy Montoya and wife, Tillie; 36 grandchildren; 47 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-granddaughter. Mrs. Apodaca was a member of The Catholic Church. A Rosary will be recited Monday evening at 7:00 p.m. at St. Edwins Catholic Church, 2105 Barcelona SW. Visitation at the church after 6:30 p.m. Deacon Nestor Garcia will recite the Rosary. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday morning at 11:00 a.m. at St. Edwins Catholic Church with final viewing at the church after 10:30 a.m. Interment will follow at the Los Padillas Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Rudy Jaramillo, Leopaul Chavez, Virgil Jaramillo, Rodney Apodaca, Ross Romero and Rudy Apodaca. Honorary will be Leonard Montoya, Adam Coca, Thomas Cebada, Isiah Vigil and Jonathan Apodaca. Gabaldon Mortuary, 1000 Old Coors Rd. SW in charge of the arrangements.
