He received his Juris Doctor from Loyola U. in Chicago and practiced law there for 20 years, then in Albuquerque for another 20, some of them as asst. city attorney. He was preceded in death by his son, Bruce in 1983. He is survived by his wife, Pat of Albuquerque; sons, Ed and wife, Linda of Kansas City, KS, Andrew and wife, Colleen of Rapid City, SD; daughters, Virginia Thompson of Socorro and Santa Fe, Jo Anne Murphy of Santa Fe, and Grace Bujewski of Albuquerque; and four grandchildren. He always loved growing things and continued beautifying his surroundings after retirement as a snowbird dividing his time between Idaho and Parker, AZ, where his heart failed him.
