Obituary for Monette

Emma Dyer Monette, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, died Friday, March 19, 1999. She was born in Bennington, OK on March 17, 1919 to Cordelia Roberts and Sampson Dyer. She was preceded in death by her husband, Walter W. Monette of Belcourt, ND; and son, Michael Dean Monette. Mrs. Monette is survived by her five daughters, Donna J. Monette, Patricia Lynn Riordan and husband, Michael, Martha J. Monette, Anne Monette, and Carol E. Monette, all of Albuquerque; four sons, Kenneth M. Monette and wife, Irmela of Albuquerque, John R. Monette of Case Grande, AZ, Neil F. Monette and wife, Lueann, and David W. Monette and wife, Laveta, all of Albuquerque; 17 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was a graduate of Bennington High School and attended Haskell Junior College in Lawrence, KS. Mrs. Monette worked and retired from TG & Y stores after 20 plus years. Mr. and Mrs. Monette were founding members of St. Bernadette Catholic Church. She was greatly loved and will be deeply missed. Mrs. Monette has left many loving and cherished memories behind. Rosary will be recited at French Mortuary, Lomas Blvd. Chapel, 10500 Lomas NE, Tuesday, 7:00 p.m. Mass will be celebrated Wednesday, 9:00 a.m., at St. Bernadette Catholic Church, 11401 Indian School Rd. NE, with Deacon Al McLane, Celebrant. Interment will follow at Santa Fe National Cemetery. Friends may visit French Mortuary, 10500 Lomas Blvd. NE, Tuesday, from 2:00 p.m. until the Rosary.
