Obituary for Horton

Faye Leadean Horton, 72, died March 13, 1999 in Albuquerque. Services will be 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, at Carmichael-Whatley Colonial Chapel with Rev. Bob Hudson, Pastor of the Bible Baptist Church of Pampa, Florida, officiating. Burial will be in Memory Gardens Cemetery, in Pampa, under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors. Mrs. Horton was born February 26, 1927 in Seminole, Oklahoma. She married Ora Loranzo Horton, December 14, 1942 in Seminole. She was an Army wife and in her early married years lived in various places throughout the U.S. She moved to El Cajon, California in 1948 and worked as a bookkeeper for an automobile agency until retiring in 1989. She then moved to Albuquerque in 1989 and worked for Strickley Southwestern Lighting and Furniture. She was a Baptist and had a sister, Joyce Boyd, that preceded her in death. She is survived by her husband of the home; one son, Travis Loren Horton of Jamul, CA; one daughter, Eunice Karen Shultz of Los Padillas, NM; four brothers, Robert Thomas of El Cajon, CA, Wayne DeLoach of Albuquerque, Jerry DeLoach of Oakridge, OR, and Larry DeLoach of Crestwell, OR; one sister, Betty DeLoach of El Paso, TX; six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or your local Hospice.
