Obituary for Dyer

Unie Belle Dyer, 81, a resident of Albuquerque since 1959, died Saturday, March 13, 1999. She was a native of Dekalb Co., AL, born in Albertville on September 27, 1917. Unie Belle graduated from Snead Junior College in Boaz, AL in 1939 with a degree in commerce. Unie Belle retired after 35 years of federal service as a technical editor with Kirtland Air Force Base. She was a faithful member of the Netherwood Park Church of Christ and was dedicated to helping people. Unie Belle worked for many years as supervisor and coordinator of the preschool Bible class department and as church librarian. She was Secretary/Treasurer of the National Health Federation and worked tirelessly for the National Association for Retired Federal Employees. Unie Belle will be missed by many friends. Services will be held Wednesday, 2:00 p.m., at Netherwood Park Church of Christ, I-40 and San Mateo NE, with Wayne Sharp officiating. Entombment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park, 924 Menaul Blvd. NE. Friends may visit French Mortuary, 1111 University Blvd. NE, Tuesday, 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Albuquerque Children's Home, 5700 Winter Haven NW 87120.
