Maynard Adams Babb, age 94, died Saturday, March 6, 1999 at his home. He is survived by his wife, Nancy Johnson Babb; his children, David Babb of Albuquerque, Elaine Chastain of Amarillo, and Burton Babb of Albuquerque; and by many grand and great-granchildren; nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his dear first wife, Elizabeth"Betty" Kirsch Babb in 1989. Mr. Babb was a Class of '28 graduate of MIT, from which he held degrees in Electrical Engineering. His numerous inventions in this new field led to his being awarded the Army/Navy"E" for Excellence award in the closing days of WWII. He was an avid yachtsman, and a proud Rotarian. His ashes will be interred on March 20 at a brief graveside service in Amarillo. The Sunrise Society of New Mexico is handling local arrangements, (891-8200).
