Elvira (Vera) Montoya, 88, a resident of this city, passed away Sunday. Mrs. Montoya was a member of San Felipe De Neri Catholic Church and Sacred Heart League and the Madres Cristianas. Mrs. Montoya is survived by two daughters, Anita Montoya, Cecilia Gurule and husband, Reyes, both of Albuquerque; six grandchildren, Larry Gurule, Sandra Varela, Steve Gurule, Becky Le Faive, Sheila Gurule and Deena Gurule; and seven great-grandchildren. The Rosary will be recited Wednesday evening at 7:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Garcia Mortuary. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday morning, time and place to be announced. Visitation will be Wednesday, from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and from 6:00 p.m. till time of Rosary. Interment will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Garcia Mortuary, 717 Stover SW.
