Harvey"Tommy" Thompson, 75, of Albuquerque, died Wednesday, February 10, 1999. He is survived by his wife, Velma Thompson; son, Gary Thompson and wife, Shirley of Albuquerque; daughter, Carlene Zink of Alamogordo, NM; 12 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren. Harvey was preceded in death by his daughter, Ree Baldwin. He was World War II Navy Veteran. Harvey was a member of the Shriners, the Masons, the Scottish Rite, the VFW, and the Elks Club. He started the Triple T Kartway, a go-cart track, where the Unser children started their racing careers. Harvey also raced Jalopies at Speedway Park. Memorial services will be held Saturday, 11:00 a.m., at Aspen Funeral Alternatives, 1935 Juan Tabo Blvd. NE, with Pastor Rick Donaho officiating.
