Obituary for Duffy

Edward M. Duffy, 89, a longtime resident of Albuquerque, died Thursday, February 11, 1999. He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Eleanor G. Duffy of Albuquerque; daughter, Iola Parks and husband, Larry of Aztec; grandsons, Brian Parks and wife, Debi of Fairbanks, AK and Stephen Parks and wife, Amber and Richard Parks, all of Aztec; great-granddaughter, Peyton Victoria Parks; and many friends. Mr. Duffy retired from the U. S. Post Office after 30 years of service. He had been a member of Fruit Avenue Baptist Church since 1953, and he served there as a deacon. Services will be held Monday, 2:00 p.m., at Fruit Avenue Baptist Church, 812 Fruit Avenue NW, with Dr. Curtis Askew officiating. Interment will follow at Fairview Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Ken Weidner, George Horton, Charlie DeMoss, Chester Hill, Stephen Parks, and Richard Parks. Honorary pallbearers will be Brian Parks, Kenny Bland, H.O. Parks, Larry Parks, and Bob Gray. Friends may visit French Mortuary, 1111 University Blvd. NE, Sunday, 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Should friends desire, memorial contributions may be made to Fruit Avenue Baptist Church, 812 Fruit Avenue NW, 87102.
