Obituary for Chavez

Stella Chavez, 78, a resident of Albuquerque and formerly of Belen, passed away peacefully on February 10, 1999. Stella is preceded in death by her daughter, Patsy Gabaldon; grandson, Greg Allen Aragon in 1991. She is survived by her son and care giver, Gilbert Aragon; three daughters, Margaret DeWitt and her husband, Jeff, Sylvia Lucero and her husband, Joe, and Sharon Muchmore; sons, Gary Aragon and his wife, Sharon, Gerald Aragon and his wife, Bonnie; 11 loving grandchildren, Yvetta, Jena and her husband, Brendon, Ryan, Denine and her husband, Angelo, Kaebryn, Kim, Shawn, Milessa, Joe, and Demetria and four great-grandchildren, Mica, Nicollette, James and Merriah; brothers, Ted Chavez and his wife, Lucy, Leo Chavez and his wife, Marilyn; sisters, Angie Bringas and her husband, Mike, Lucy Tafoya and her companion, Mike Pino. Other survivors include numerous friends, aunts, uncles, and cousins. Pallbearers will be Gary Aragon, Ryan Aragon, Gerald Aragon, Nick Aragon, Ted Chavez, Joe Lucero, and Gilbert Aragon. Honorary Pallbearer will be Shawn Salazar and Leo Chavez. Viewing will be held on Sunday at 5:00 p.m. at Romero Funeral Home followed by a Rosary at 6:00 p.m. Funeral Mass will be held on Monday at Our Lady of Belen Catholic Church at 11:00 a.m. Romero Funeral Home, 609 N. Main St., Belen, NM.
