Obituary for Moore

Vernon W. Moore, 78, a resident of Albuquerque since 1950, died Tuesday, June 15, 1999. He is survived by his sons, Victor L. Moore and wife, Mary of Los Lunas, and Howard Hayden of Mountain Home, AR; granddaughters, Leslie Moore of Rio Rancho and Kelli Moore of Corrales; and brother, Travis Moore of Macon, GA. Mr. Moore was preceded in death by his wife of 50 years, Bernice Moore. He served in the Army Air Corps during WWII. Mr. Moore retired from Sandia National Labs after 25 years. He was a longtime member of the Masonic Lodge. Memorial services will be held Wednesday, 2:00 p.m., at Chester T. French Memorial Mausoleum Chapel, 924 Menaul Blvd. NE, with Pastor Ken Moore officiating. Entombment will take place at Chester T. French Memorial Mausoleum.
